Jeffrey L. Sammons is University Distinguished Professor of German at Yale University. He is the author of numerous books and articles on German literature and culture, including Heinrich Heine: A Modern Biography and The Weimar Republic: A Cultural History.
Edward R. Haymes is Professor of German at the University of Texas at Austin. He is the author of numerous books and articles on German literature and culture, including The Literary World of Joseph Roth and German Cinema since Unification.
