Our Tesla Trip Cross Country USA Journey October 2024
In October 2024, we embarked on a cross-country road trip in our Tesla Model 3. We drove from Los Angeles to New York, and back again, covering a total of 10,000 miles. In this book, we share our experiences, tips, and recommendations for making the most of your own cross-country road trip in an electric vehicle.
Our trip was an amazing experience. We saw some of the most beautiful scenery in the country, and we met some wonderful people along the way. We also learned a lot about electric vehicles and the challenges of long-distance travel.

We hope that our book will inspire you to take your own cross-country road trip in an electric vehicle. It's an experience that you'll never forget!
Route
Our route took us through 12 states: California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York. We drove a total of 10,000 miles, and we spent 22 nights on the road.
We chose to take a southern route on the way out to New York, and a more northern route on the way back to Los Angeles. This allowed us to see a variety of different landscapes and climates.
We made sure to plan our route carefully, so that we could take advantage of the Tesla Supercharger network. We also made sure to book our hotel reservations in advance, especially for the nights that we were driving through more rural areas.
Challenges
We faced a few challenges on our trip, but we were able to overcome them all.
One challenge was the weather. We drove through some rain, snow, and sleet. However, our Tesla handled the conditions well, and we never had any problems with traction or handling.
Another challenge was the long distances between charging stations. In some areas, we had to drive over 200 miles between charges. However, we were able to plan our route carefully, and we never had to worry about running out of power.
Places We Visited
We visited some amazing places on our trip. Here are a few of our favorites:
* The Grand Canyon * The Painted Desert * The Petrified Forest * The Great Smoky Mountains * The Blue Ridge Parkway * Niagara Falls * The Statue of Liberty * Central Park
We also visited many small towns and cities along the way. We were impressed by the friendliness of the people we met, and we enjoyed learning about the different cultures and traditions of each region.
People We Met
We met some wonderful people on our trip. We talked to other Tesla owners, we met people at the charging stations, and we chatted with locals in the towns and cities we visited.
We were impressed by the kindness and generosity of the people we met. We were also inspired by the stories of the people we met. We heard stories of people who had overcome challenges, people who had achieved their dreams, and people who were making a difference in the world.
Our Tesla
We drove a Tesla Model 3 on our trip. We chose the Model 3 because it is an efficient and affordable electric vehicle. We were very happy with the performance of our Model 3. It handled well, it was comfortable to drive, and it had a great range.
We also appreciated the Tesla Supercharger network. The Superchargers are fast and reliable, and they are located in convenient locations. We never had to worry about running out of power on our trip.
